I wonder just how much Fevs injury concerns are really bothering him...

Agree that the Dogs need to start playing their young forwards, they will develop quicker playing the regular season than VFL and the Pre Season. Poor coaching by Eade imo, trying to save his job...

there is a difference in knowing the rules of the game, and understanding how the game works. so many poor decisons are made just because umpires do not understand aspects of the game.

I totally agree about this, the thing is though no ex-player wants to become an umpire. Interesting that Cricket and other sports have a higher success rate of ex-players umpiring. Maybe its got something to do with the respect shown...

Thanks SunCity_Royal..

This year is surely an interesting one.

Carlton have not delivered like expected, Collingwood are rubbish, the Bulldogs have slipped once again, the Hawks are playing average, and Richmond needed alot more than Ben Cousins to save them.

Heres what should happen,

Fevola should be rested for Carlton. he has the ability to reall inspire Carlton when he plays well...when he doesn't he also has the ability to damage them.
Wallace should be sacked! and the Tigers need a cleanout. drop the over rated players and bleed young fresh talent. and get back to basics...their skills are rubbish and need work
The Bulldogs need to bring one or two of their recruited forwards into their team. to fill the void left by Murphy and to at least add some marking and goal kicking power up forward, without it they may struggle yet again.
Malthouse to be sacked! he is dead weight. Collingwood are a nothing team playing on nothing but pride. Rocca should go as well.

on the subject of the round...one thing i find very interesting...is that more often than not, two teams who aren't doing the greatest and probably won't have much of a finals impact, can produce a stellar game. The Eagles and Swans produced yet another spectacle for fans. however don't get too confident...i doubt either team will really have any chance at all of a grand final. good game, but not a revival

One other very touchy subject in sport atm, is again referees/umpires. honestly they are damaging the game. both AFL and NRL.
An NRL commentator pointed out a very intersesting point a few weeks ago, there is a difference in knowing the rules of the game, and understanding how the game works. so many poor decisons are made just because umpires do not understand aspects of the game. only players and ex-players really truly understand football and it frustrates every fan to know that umpires are so blind, oblivious and really just plain stupid.
