Cousins is a bit silly for giving the birdy to the fans that thought he was great in Perth. Alot of them thought that he was still great until he pulled the birdy... the only thing I think he should be pulling - is 'himself into line'. Hes not doing much for winning fans at the moment other than new richmond fans

"Yes but I think most of these 9 teams have no chance, including the Dogs…"
It's funny how you dangle the Dogs out there almost like bait on a hook, well I ain't biting Mr. One thing I will say though is that I think it is absolutely RIDICULOUS to write off any teams at the halfway point of the season. It's like all you halfwits out there who think that Gary Ablett should be given the Brownlow now, so much can happen in one week let alone half a season.

Agree that Carey was the 'complete footballer' - no argument there! But I think Riewoldt is more than just an athlete...

Yes, complacency is a potential issue. I didn't feel they were complacent on Sunday. There was a real hunger for the contest while it was hot, and a desire to make a statement to the competition. I don't see them making the same mistake(s) in September as last year. It'll take a very, very good team at the absolute best on the day to beat the Cats.

On Riewoldt, frankly I don't rate him as more than a good athlete. He has odd games where he looks like a footballer, but more where he doesn't. Same for Koschitzke. Carey, on the other hand, was almost the complete footballer, and without doubt the best I've seen in my time, daylight second.

The Windy Hill injury curse rolls on. If the Bombers ever get their notionally best 22 on the park together for an extended period, they could go places.

Does it not bring complacency into a team when the club just packs up after 3/4 time? Is this not what happened with them last year?

Carey is so far ahead of Riewoldt, it’s just not funny. Like, lightyears!!!

But do you not agree that if he could kick straight, it would make him more of a star? You almost do not mind Riewoldt having a shot at goal because he is less than a 50% chance of missing. All that hard work he does is just ruined...

Problem with Hooker playing ruck is that like you said he has played very well down back. Fletcher is due back soon but I am sure Knights would rather Hooker played back. Hurley is also out yet again which is not a good sign. Essendon sure pick the injury prone big men!

Jermayn, I haven't seen the game on TV, but the Cats stopped to a walk after ¾-time — not because they were tired or bored, they just didn't need to do any more. If they play like this in September, no-one will get close.

Cousins furore is, again, hyperventilating over nothing.

Agree on the Bellchambers effect. The best backup now will be Cale Hooker who has been playing really well in defence. Bombers will still give a yelp, but I'm expecting they'll miss the eight by some margin now.

So one question...
The tigers finally win a game, and wallace quits? forgive me if im mistaken (im not sure if he quit before or after the win)

Everyone rated the tigers this year. I didnt, when asked the headline after round 12 i replied Wallace sacked! now people can argue that he "quit" and in a way he did. but the Tigers still wanted him gone. I knew the moment the tigers hired him 5 years ago that he would not be a good match for the club. cast your minds back to 2002. Wallace ended a career with the bulldogs and failed to win a premiership. he had the team to do it, but it couldn't be acheived, and when they started to struggle he LEFT them in their time of need. Wallace is an old school, outdated coach who is no Leigh Matthews or Kevin Sheedy. Richmond is better off without him, and so is the AFL. lets hope he STAYS away this time!!!
