This weeks question….Do you trust, if you have them, players in your team linked to “tanking”?

Spill your guts about your Dream Team

Please let us know about the going ons with your Dream Team side. Hear are some questions we would love to hear about.

  • Are you happy with your team after 18 rounds?
  • Are you in the finals? If not tell us what cost you the chance to play in your leagues this year?
  • How many trades do you have left?
  • Who you looking to trade?
  • Who are you happy with?
  • How did your captain go?
  • Have you traded for any player who turned out to be a dud?
  • Tell us about your best pick up for the year.

Dream Team Wars

Big ladder changes leading up to the first week of the finals after “Sheryl’s Saints” knocks off the “Woftam wasps” by a mere 5 points.

As a result, Jermayn’s “Germinators” takes 2nd spot after beating “Arthur’s Mongrels” by 78 points.

Greg Broughton, Dane Swan, Joel Corey, Paul Chapman & Alan Didak all scored tons with Broughton continuing to surprise (see best of 18 ). A mix of high & low scores this week somehow sees him over the 1900 mark.

Deano’s boys knocked off “Mandurah Mob” by 235 points.

Jack Grimes, Joel Selwood, Brett Deledio & Leon Davis were the ton scorers. This would be the right time to use up some trades, if Deano has any, with the “Germs” running rampant.

Ariana’s “Royal Knights” gave my “Great Izzacs” a 232 point hiding thanks to Jermayn’s beat down of her team last week. Ricky Petterd, Jimmy Bartel & Brendan Fevola were the ton scorers with only 3 players scoring below 70.

My ton scorers were Jack Grimes, Andrew Swallow, Brad Johnson, Jason Akermanis, Fevola & Mark LeCras. Disappointed in the Syd/StK players & time was against me to swap Sidebottom for Jurrah. But, I was happy with the contributions of young Hartlett & Swift in the middle. Isn’t it typical of the youngsters to score big & the bigger names fall over??

Michael’s “Dorkers” drew the short straw in the bottom eights top four by beating Johnny’s “diamond12” in the Derby by 269 points. Broughton, Selwood, Corey, Davis & Fevola were the ton scorers with plenty of Freddie Flintoff 70’s thorwn in there.

Johnny had Corey Enright, Bryce Gibbs & Jonathan Brown as his ton scorers & could be excused having a few missing, though Cox & McPharlin have been out for a while.

Meet craigeyles

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

  1. Jermayn Says:

Both me and Ari forgot to see Johnson in the Geelong side, just as well we did not loose our games with him getting a 98!

    - Im in the finals for both leagues im in. 5th & 7th for two and for the Kick2Kick league, 2nd!!
    - One trade left for an injury with 45k.
    - Happy with Johnson back, along with Franklin getting some 90+ scores in the last few weeks.
    - Was not happy with Blake only getting 34 this week, even my ruck spot filler Pyke got a higher score – 39.
    - My best pick this year would have to be Broughton. Rookie price but has only once (since I picked him up) has he got under 80…
