This weeks question…with 2 weeks until the AFL Finals begin, who’s entering the DreamTeam Finals contest?? No salary caps or trade limits, but players per team will be limited.
Spill your guts about your Dream Team
Please let us know about the going ons with your Dream Team side. Hear are some questions we would love to hear about.
- Are you happy with your team after 20 rounds?
- Are you still in the finals? If not tell us what cost you the chance to play finals this year?
- How many trades do you have left?
- Who you looking to trade?
- Who are you happy with?
- How did your captain go?
- Have you traded for any player who turned out to be a dud?
- Tell us about your best pick up for the year.
Dream Team Wars: Finals week 2
What a turn up in the top 8 finals race. It seems anything to do with “Saints” in your name went down this weekend (Go Bombers!!!) with Ariana’s “Royal Knights” knocking “Sheryl’s Saints” out in straight sets by 179 points.
Cats trio of Andrew Mackie, Jimmy Bartel & Gary Ablett scored tons along with Adam Selwood, Dayne Beams, Ryan O’Keefe, Brett Deledio, Brendan Fevola & Robin Nahas.
This sets up “Doghouse II” with a preliminary final against Jermayn’s “Germinators”. Ariana will be looking for revenge after a loss several weeks back.
Unfortunately for Deano, the “Nambucaa Axemen” went down to the “Lemming Lighting” for a straight sets outing by 235 points. Mackie, Ablett, Liam Anthony, Nick Riewoldt, Deledio, Aaron Davey & Ben McGlynn all scored tons, but his trade deficits finally caught up with him in the end. We know Deano will bounce back from this next season.
My “Great Izzacs” set up a preliminary final match up with Johnny’s “diamond12” after a nice 270 point win over “GoldCoast Clubbers” who towards the end of the season proved very stubborn.
Tarkyn Lockyer, Michael Doughty, Andrew Swallow, Brad Johnson, Fevola & Jason Akermanis all scored tons. Some very handy 90’s helped along the way. Still have 3 trades left & including Lockyer & Warren Tredrea for the injured Jack Grimes & Shaun Higgins certainly helped. And with over $110,000 in the bank, watch out.
Also next week, Michael’s “Dorkers” play the “Carlisle Cobras” in the 2nd bottom 8 preliminary final after the “Mandurah Mob” was surprisingly beaten.
Good luck to those next week if you’re playing (except Johnny).

Pleasure doing business with you all, loads of fun and heaps of experience gained. will be looking for you other kick2kick guys to push up into the top8 next year to make it an even more exciting finals series…as for this years winner we have said all year that it is the year of the female so i am tipping the royal knights to go all the way…sorry jer.
as for me i finally get my full midfield back and Ryan Griffen pulls out, with Ellis, Grimes, Fraser and Lucas all out and Ryder injured during the game i didn’t stand a chance. but thems the breaks.
got rolled in my secondary DT too despite scoring 2040 i lost by about 70 points with Ryan Griffen pulling out again being the difference. not happy!
Still have my SC team firing with a 2200 score this week and a prelim to come.

@deano, glad you had fun! I did as well but im sure I will have more fun when I win the Grand Final and on the way beat the Royal Knights for the second time this season. We have another dinner on the line for this weekends contest.
Injuries have been harsh the last few weeks plus with retirements etc – traded Griffen last week, which im grateful for. Geelong look likely of getting a few players back which means I will use my last trade for Masten and with my 45k left in the back, I can get a descent midfielder (Thinking Knights from Adelaide).
Think we will have to write that “What I learnt after my first year of DreamTeam” post we talked about last week…
