Dream Team Wars: Finals week 3

Wow, what a close final we had in the top 8 battle between the “Germinators” & the “Royal Knights”. 172 points separated the two teams with Ariana coming out on top.

Brendon Goodard, Luke Hodge, Jimmy Bartel, Gary Ablett, Adam Selwood, Aaron Sandilands & Brett Deledio all scored tons & there was 4 players in the nineties.

For Jermayn, Goddard, Hodge, Jason Gram, Ablett, Joel Corey, Liam Anthony, Lance Franklin & Nathan Krakouer scored tons. Chris Masten didn’t play, Paul Chapman went down again & the rucks didn’t seem to work out this week with the choice of Jason Blake a gamble that didn’t come off this week.

Ariana takes on “Leeming Lightning” next week in the top 8 final with 49 points separating the 2 teams from this week.

In the bottom 8, Michael’s “Dorkers” knocked off the bottom placed upstarts, the “Carlisle Cobras”, by 643 points. Selwood, Corey, Josh Hill & Krakouer scored tons with 4 nineties in the line up.

They’ll take on my “Great Izzacs” who are saving their best for last beating Johnny’s “diamond12” by 483 points.

Bryce Gibbs, Quinten Lynch, & Hill scored tons & looked very unfortunate with some of the performances of his players this week. We had Michael Doughty, Gram, Andrew Swallow, Hill, Tom Swift, Brad Johnson, Jason Akermanis & Lynch score ton. We’re cashed up, trade loaded & ready to roll for next week, but it won’t be easy.

Only 99 points separates the 2 teams so we can expect some fireworks in the 2 finals next week.

Good luck for the 3 remaining teams next week.

Meet craigeyles

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

Had a dinner riding on my game against my wife, Ariana! I won the first match but she won the second

I used way too many trades at the start of the year and it cost me this week when I had no emergencies down forward and in the midfield with Masten, Dangerfield & Sidebottom either injured or not playing, it gave me one short. I traded Johnson for Fevola (between him or Lynch) and then Chapman and Swan (quieter than normal) as captain I was beyond a miracle win this weekend!

    Congrats to Ariana.
