I think there is more chance the Eagles will go after Stokes with a draft pick they get from Sydney or Brisbane for Staker and Seaby…

Jolly has been linked to go back to Melbourne for the last few years, think he just wants a contract extension No one would trade for Nicoski and the Eagles will need him now seeing Wirra has retired.

they have been told that if they can’t be found new homes then they will be delisted, not sure about Stacks contract situation but i would assume that he would be a required player and i doubt the eagles would be willing to offer up much for a bloke who has played a handful of games but given his potential the dogs would want at least a 2nd rounder…don’t think it will happen.

interesting to see jolly wants back to melbourne and i also read today that spangher and nicoski are close to signing deals with the eagles, i would have thought both would be moved on??

Some good points Deano, think from an Eagles pov, Hansen was held onto as they were unsure if Kennedy would take that next step up and take over the CHF position that the Eagles can build a side around. Also M Brown showed enough playing forward and back after a knee reconstruction along with Wilkes, Spangher and Macenzie down back which have moved ahead of Staker and Hansen.

I doubt the Eagles will do a straight swap Dalziell for Staker, see them push for a draft pick as well. Maybe Eagles: Staker and 4th round for Brisbane: Dalziell and 3rd round. Also Port Adelaide have shown some interest in Hansen…

Is Stack out of contract? and isnt Skipper and Wight already delisted?

i think you will find that either everitt or eagleton will be moved on, given everitt has 10 years ahead of him i would be disappointed if eagleton played on and halted andrejs’ progression for another year, he has been a terrific servant but i think it is time for the bald eagle to hang up the boots, agree with bob, stack isn’t going anywhere and i think either wight or skipper(maybe both) will be used in the Hall trade…

Interesting to see that a lot of the blokes that were talked about last year, robbo, hall, hansen, staker, seaby etc, are up for trade this year. i honestly don’t know why teams hang on to these guys so long. the dogs would have given up maybe a 2nd round pick for hansen last year, now he is one year older has hardly played this year and i wouldn’t offer up a fifth rounder for him. as was written earlier in the year, teams really need to smarten up their trading, if the player won’t be there for your next tilt at a flag, move them on…

To be honest , I do not think he will get traded but he is someone the Eagles may be looking at along with others in Stokes, Williams etc.
