Ok, we’re half way through the season already so how’s everyone’s tipping doing?? For a strange superstitious trend, if a team plays St Kilda the week before & has a 6 day break, they have the best chance of winning.

Beau Waters has had an injured season 2009 but so far 2010 has been a great season for Dreamteam coaches with solid scores & a great price raise.

Kick2Kick League Round 11 Review
Grey Wet Sydney 1,832 def Cash Or Clunkers 1,740
Justin’s Best: Goodwin, Ablett, Hodge, Cooney, Barlow
My Best: Hodge, Barlow, Boak, Byrnes, Milne
Considering I was 2 down, this was closer than I expected. Only Gibbs didn’t get in on Justin’s midfield killing spree of my team & even though Franklin will be back for his once a fortnight appearance.
Germinators 2,276 def The Juddanaut 2,021
Jermayn’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Waters, Swan, Ablett, Cooney, Barlow, Boyd, Chapman, Didak, O’Keefe, Rockliff
Jason’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Ablett, Barlow, Boak, Chapman, O’Keefe, Rockliff
Jason has to be extremely stiff losing after scoring over 2,000. Rockliff, Barlow, Goddard & Waters were BoG this week, but the boss has some headaches with Higgins gone and McGuire gone.
Princess’ Cats 2,118 def Half Back Flanker 1,904
Arianna’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Waters, Ablett, Bartel, Barlow, Didak, O’Keefe, Rockliff
Darren’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Ablett, Cooney, Barlow
The Garry Lyon article on Ariana’s team has sparked them up to a 200+ point win in what was suppose to be a close match. Only Stanton’s late withdrawal prevented the margin from blowing to 300+.
Darren’s forward line failed to fire with Goodes & Gumbleton in the very wet & “Pods” & Higgins hurt. Hille also made his ruck stocks lighter.
iTeam 1,819 def Bad Boys 1,207
Anthony’s Best: Goddard, Waters, Swan, Ablett, Barlow, Boyd, Chapman
Steve’s Best: Waters, Ablett, Hayes
What can you say?? A very easy win for Anthony playing a forward short & using reserve defenders. Is Steve still with us??
Bomber cyborgs 2,213 def Mopar 1,924
Sean’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Waters, Waite, Bartel, Cooney, Selwood, Barlow, O’Keefe, Rockliff
George’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Swan, Ablett, Barlow, O’Keefe
Was that a surprise trade I noticed that helped Sean score the upset win?? Waite in the midfield is a winner. It wasn’t a good week for forwards all round.
Joden Warrior’s 1,946 def BullDogz 1,701
Jodie’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Waite, Swan, Bartel, Barlow, Chapman, Rockliff
Mike’s Best: Lake, Harbrow, Cross, Selwood, Barlow, Boyd
Most players struggled to score for Mike this week with the Hille & Higgins injuries & despite the Bulldogs players playing kick to kick with each other.
Chardy’s Champs 1.918 def Nambucca Axemen 1,899
Lisa’s Best: Goddard, Hodge, Bartel, Barlow, Moloney, O’Keefe, Harvey
Deano’s Best: Harbrow, Goddard, Hodge, Hayes, Barlow, O’Keefe, Harvey, Rockliff
The 2nd upset of the week keeping up the average & it had to be Deano. Hille went down may have been the difference, but the defence was not good.
Round 12 Previews
- Cash For Clunkers ($2.48) .vs. The Juddanaut ($1.55)
- Yeah, right. Can’t even score over 2,000 yet even with a new plan. Need some wins fast being 4 games from the top 8.
- Germinators ($1.68) .vs. Grey Wet Sydney ($2.20)
- The boss is sitting pretty a game clear on top, but could have some selection issues. It took him a while to get the Riewoldt dilemma sorted, so this could be Justin’s chance.
- Half Back Flanker ($1.87) .vs. iTeam ($1.94)
- The bookies believe the iTeam has been favoured by the draw & have given Darren every chance of keeping in touch with the top 8.
- Bad Boys ($3.14) .vs. Princess’ Cats ($1.39)
- Unfortunately, Steve has as much chance as Kevin Rudd showing us the real Kevin Rude.
- BullDogz ($2.23) .vs. Bomber cyborgs ($1.66)
- Sean wants a top 4 spot & has surprised us with some team selections. Mike needs the win & the percentage to have a crack at the top 8.
- Benditos ($1.74) .vs. Nambucca Axemen ($2.11)
- They call the Axemen the “Port Adelaide of the Kick2Kick League”. They’re harder to work out than the Victorian weather at the moment. This week, the pressure of favouritism is off.
Good luck to all this weekend with some very exciting results ahead.
Spill your guts about your Dreamteam

Hi all, i brought in Fisher last week to hopefully strengthen my backline. Got a few injuries to cover this week. Sounds like maguire, hille and higgins have all gone lame. My score this week will probably drop accordingly. Hope to buy Gissy from melb. this week.
June 8th, 2010 at 12:31 pm
Yeah I also brought in Fisher last week as cover for Kennelly and Hargraves who are both injured.
I do have Higgins and also Maguire down back also, how bad is Hargraves injury? Do also have Webberly as back up…
June 8th, 2010 at 12:34 pm
@Princess of the Cats, I also have Higgins and Maguire. I do have cover for Higgins and Maguire so I may just hold off trading them and see how I go with them on my bench. The bye in two weeks will hopefully help them not miss out on too many games.
Maguire I think you can trade with but Higgins? There is not much in the forward line worth trading for..

Eade reckons in the Age that Hargrave is probably less than a 50-50 this week
June 9th, 2010 at 8:47 pm
@sean – mmmm so I may be having 3 injured players on my bench this week..
June 10th, 2010 at 6:25 pm
@Jermayn, Any more injuries this week and i think i will be copping some donuts. At least the break will help a bit. Making do with Trengove from port as backup ruckman for Hille
June 10th, 2010 at 11:31 am
I have conceded that this year is not my year…
I lost by 19 points with Hille and Higgins going down during the game. I switched my Captain from Goddard (138) to Hayes (105). And after finally biting the bullet after holding on for a couple of weeks I traded McVeigh (who of course after scoring 40 odds for a couple of weeks cracks a ton!) for Hayes and Hargrave. And then Hargrave goes and gets injured!
I give Up!!!!
June 10th, 2010 at 9:19 pm
@Deano, yeh you get weeks like that dont ya? Hargrave also has been disapointing since I brought him in as well.
I know Princess had Cox, he lost a heap and so she traded him and now he is worth 90+ unlike Kruezer who averages 70+.
I think where Dreamteam is won and lost all comes from your trades.
