2010 Round 13 Dreamteam Wrapup

Posted on 29 June 2010 by

This week, whining Poms take over from the Socceroos at the World Cup & we have Romanians at Wimbledon & Steven Baker in the AFL. Thank goodness this is the last split round we should see in AFL history.

Leigh Montagna may have charges hanging over his head but it has not affected his form and ability to rack up the Dreamteam points

Oh, & remember to have your teams ready by Thursday this round.

Kick2Kick League Round 13 Review

Princess’ Cats 1,882 drew Cash Or Clunkers 1,283

Arianna’s Best: Goddard, Waters, Fisher, Ablett, Barlow, Sandilands, Franklin
My Best:
Barlow, Mattner

No doubt about it, the split round & Melbourne’s weather provided some individual rubbish. There are some words that describe my teams effort, but they can’t be printed.

Germinators 2,106 def iTeam 2,025

Jermayn’s Best: Goddard, Enright, Waters, Swan, Ablett, Barlow, Gibbs, Sandilands, Franklin
Anthony’s Best: Goddard, Waters, Shaw, Swan, Ablett, Barlow, Gibbs, Boyd

They both had midfields on fire, but it looks as though it came down to the forwards. Heath Shaw played well as a pick from left field.

Half Back Flanker 1,852 def Grey Wet Sydney 1,783

Darren’s Best: Goddard, Gilbert, Grimes, Doughty, Ablett, Barlow, Sandilands, Franklin
Justin’s Best: Goodwin, Ablett, Barlow, Gibbs, Sandilands, Franklin

Darren’s defence was set on 3 G’s this week with some good left field picks whilst holding onto some injured players. Justin had Kreuzer go down while Black & Kennelly pulled out late. The game was close, as expected, & I guess Justin has a right to feel ripped off.

Nambucca Axemen 2,149 def Mopar 1,692

Deano’s Best: Goddard, Enright, Harbrow, Shaw, Hayes, Barlow, Gilbee, Sandilands, Giansiracusa, Harvey
George’s Best: Goddard, Gilbert, Enright, Swan, Ablett, Barlow, Sandilands, Franklin

Oh yeah!! It all came together for Deano this week with only Kelly pulling out late. A lot of consistant scores has him back in contention.

BullDogz 1,858 def Crimson Sting 1,214

Mike’s Best: Lake, Harbrow, Barlow, Selwood, Cross, Boyd, Sandilands, Betts
Tyler’s Best: Goodwin, Ablett, Sandilands

As expected, the Dogz came out on top with Betts the pick out of left field playing well. Pity the rest of the Blues didn’t follow his lead.

Bomber Cyborgs 1,963 def Chardy’s Champs 1,889

Sean’s Best: Goddard, Enright, Waters, Barlow, Selwood, Sandilands
Lisa’s Best: Goddard, Barlow, Watson, Giansiracusa, Harvey

Sean may have some Cooney problems this week as, from memory, he did the hamstring. Johnson is a definite non-starter regardless of injury. A good close win thanks to Lisa’s non-firing defence & forward line.

Round 14 Previews

Cash For Clunkers ($2.46) .vs. iTeam ($1.55)
Zero upsets for the 2nd week running & after my shocking performance, I can’t see an upset here in a hurry.

Germinators ($1.74) .vs. Princess’ Cats ($2.11)
The annual grudge match & we’re wondering what’s on the line this time around?? Can Arianna win & make the boss cook dinner for a week??

Half Back Flanker ($1.88) .vs. The Juddanaut ($1.93)
The bookies haven’t got it wrong for a couple of weeks & Darren would be hoping that continues. A top 8 spot is on the line.

Grey Wet Sydney ($1.40) .vs. Bad Boys ($2.97)
Danger game here for Justin with the Bad Boys on the improve. Justin needs the win to help the percentage.

BullDogz ($2.16) .vs. Nambucca Axemen ($1.70)
The man is back in town & looking to snatch a top 8 spot. Mike has the same idea & needs the percentage to help his push for the top 8.

Benditos ($1.83) .vs. Bomber cyborgs ($1.98)
The top 4 play each other this weekend & Sean has surprised us all this season. A loss by either could see their top 4 spot lost to Joden’s Warriors.

Good luck to all this weekend with some very exciting results ahead.

Meet craigeyles

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

  1. Princess of the Cats Says:

arrggghhhh Krezuer’s injury has hurt me. Have traded him for a smoky in Skipper who seems to have improved in the last few weeks and then traded Fevola for Essendons Davey. Has left me with 7 trades left and ~100k in the bank, next week time to upgrade one of my midfielders to a premium, maybe a Swan to add next to Bartel, Ablett & Barlow.

  2. Jermayn Says:

I have no major injuries at the moment and was able to carry Maguire and Higgins for the last few weeks but traded Maguire for this round. Traded Webberly in for Strijk and then Maguire for Sam Gilbert which gives me another cash cow to soak up money for and another premium.

    My team now looks like:

B: Goddard, Hodge, Gilbert, Hargrave, Enright, Waters, Malceski (Nason & Strijk)
M: Swan (VC), Ablett (C), Barlow, Gibbs, Cooney, Boyd (Stevens & Gysberts)
R: Sandilands, Leunberger (Warnock & McNamara)
F: Chapman, o’Keefe, Didak, Podsiadly, Higgins, Franklin, Rockliff (Fyfe & Hitchcock)

I also brought in Hargrave, Didak, O’Keefe at their lowest price and they have all increased in price and scores as I brought them. Talk about luck.

I am now placed inside the top 3,000 and with Gilbert added I reckon I can climb even further :)
