2010 Round 15 Dreamteam Wrapup

Posted on 12 July 2010 by

15 rounds down & Buddy’s working on the restored 4 weeks on, 1 week off system. Goddard out this week did some damage as well. But, our Barlow “wild card” in Daniel Connors was red hot.

Matthew Boyd has been a fantastic pick with some very solid games including his 142 against Carlton

Kick2Kick League Round 15 Review

Bomber cyborgs 1914 def Cash Or Clunkers 1,733

Sean’s Best: Hargrave, Ablett, Bartel, Selwood, Cooney, Sandilands, Franklin, Rockliff
My Best:

It looked okay for me until the late game when Griffen needed to score an impossible 400 points after Mattner & McMahon didn’t play. Four Dogs to one in the final game with a 100 pt lead just wasn’t enough.

Germinators 2,240 def Joden Warriors 1,863

Jermayn’s Best: Malceski, Hargrave, Swan, Montagna, Ablett, Gibbs, Boyd, Cooney, Sandilands, Chapman, Franklin, Rockliff
Jodie’s Best: Malceski, Kennelly, Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Cox, Chapman, Rockliff

The boss did it again easily even without Goddard. Not a bad “in” for Franklin next week. Cats & Blues let Jodie down this week.

Nambucca Axemen 2,125 def Half Back Flanker 1,963

Deano’s Best: Malceski, Hargrave, Montagna, Dal Santo, Griffen, Sandilands, Rioli, Rockliff
Darren’s Best: Swan, Ablett, Cooney, Sandilands, Goodes, Franklin

Deano now jumps into the top 8 with twinkle toes Rioli paying him back very well. Goddard’s absence makes the defence look the worst scorers in a top scoring effort.

Darren’s Goddard dilemma increased with the risk of Grimes left in, but Gumbleton a late withdrawal.

Grey Wet Sydney 2,205 def Mopar 1,754

Justin’s Best: Goodwin, Kennelly, Ablett, Gibbs, Cooney, Judd, Black, Sandilands, Goodes, Franklin
George’s Best: Kennelly, Swan, Ablett, Sandilands, Franklin

The 1st upset in a month saw Justin’s left field picks all come together. Goodwin now is a profit maker, Judd & Gibbs were the only Blues that turned up & Goodes decided to play. Barry Hall out this week.

The Juddanaut 2,020 def BullDogz 1,609

Jason’s Best: Malceski, Hargrave, Kennelly, Montagna, Ablett, Gibbs, Judd, Rich, Chapman, Rockliff
Mike’s Best: Lake, Ablett, Selwood, Boyd, Rich, Sandilands

That realistically puts Mike out of the top 8 race thanks to a forward line flop & still keeping Hille. Could be worse, though. He could be me.

Princess’ Cats 2,056 def Chardy’s Champs 2,028

Arianna’s Best: Kennelly, Swan, Ablett, Bartel, Sandilands, Franklin, Rockliff
Lisa’s Best: Kennelly, Bartel, Selwood, Watson, Deledio, Rioli

The Princess must like the close ones as she gets over the line by what equates to 7 tackles. I’m surprised Watson scored so much for the Champs considering, as a Bombers supporter, he played……can’t print that, sorry.

Benditos 2,083 def iTeam 2,021

Ben’s Best: Malceski, Hargrave, Swan, Montagna, Ablett, Bartel, Dal Santo, Gibbs, Cox, Chapman
Anthony’s Best: Kennelly, Swan, Ablett, Gibbs, Boyd, Cox, Chapman, Goodes

Anthony blitzed by a midfield that could rival the boss’s team. Having to get used to not writing “Goddard, Hodge, Enright” after 12 weeks is darn hard.

Round 15 Previews

Cash For Clunkers ($2.56) .vs. Joden Warriors ($1.52)
Have to give myself a real chance here if I can get 22 on the park. We may be out of the top 8 finals race, but we’ll help shape it.

Germinators ($1.73) .vs. Bomber cyborgs ($2.12)
Match of the round sees 1st .vs. 3rd. Some would say the boss is due for a loss & his luck could run out soon. But we softened the Cyborgs up for him.

Half Back Flanker ($1.28) .vs. Crimson Sting ($3.75)
A very handy part of the draw for the Flankers with percentage street locked into his GPS.

Bad Boys ($3.16) .vs. Nambucca Axemen ($1.36)
Multi up the Flankers & Deano.

BullDogz ($2.17) .vs. Grey Wet Sydney ($1.69)
The Dogz are also determined to shape the top 8 & Justin needs the win to keep the Flankers out of the top 8.

Chardy’s Champs ($1.90) .vs. iTeam ($1.90)
The Champs can kiss top 8 finals goodbye for 2010 if they lose what could be a ripper of an undercard to the boss/bombers match. Anthony has the 5th biggest percentage in the league right now.

Benditos ($1.82) .vs. Princess’ Cats ($2.00)
The top 4 play each other & 5th to 8th are licking their lips with anticipation of what could happen. This weekend could be a real ladder shaper.

Good luck to all this weekend with some very exciting results ahead.

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

  1. Deano Says:

    @ Craig

You are doing an awesome job mate…i look forward to your write ups every tuesday.

For once i had some luck on my side this week with the flankers having no cover for Goddard and Gumbleton. Really needed that victory to stay in touch with the top4. I should have enough firepower to win the next two before my round 18 clash with the boss. Question is should i take him on and try and land a psychological blow or save my trades for the finals???

    Jermayn Reply:

    Take me on Deano!!
