2010 Round 18 Dreamteam Wrapup

Posted on 02 August 2010 by

Cyril gets his twinkle toes out of step & it could cost the Hawks a home final, which could mean over & out in 1 week. Could our DT Leagues finals possibly be bigger than the Pies .vs. Cats on Saturday?? We’ll have to see.

Shane Tucks hardness has always been known but under Hardwick his skill has also improved.

Kick2Kick League Week 1 Finals Preview

Well, our league page gives me the “straight to finals” look, so I guess I’ll jump straight into the match ups.

(1) Germinators ($1.79) .vs. (4) Bomber cyborgs ($2.04)
The boss wants the week off after such a great effort in the season, but Sean will be out to spoil the party.

(2) Princess’ Cats ($1.89) .vs. (3) Benditos ($1.92)
A real toss of the coin job here. The Princess will want to put here feet up with the boss while Ben would like nothing more than to make the Princess work for her Preliminary Finals place.

(5) iTeam ($1.86) .vs. (8) Grey West Sydney ($1.96)
Justin gets into the top 8 by ½ a win in the log jam of 9-7 records. These bottom half of the top 8 matches will be unpredictable & injuries & trades could spell doom.

(6) Nambucca Axemen ($1.88) .vs. (7) Joden’s Warriors ($1.93)
Deano has been to the mountain before & he doesn’t care who gets in the way of getting there again. Jodie won’t be happy losing 5th spot & facing the Axemen.

(9) Half Back Flanker ($1.88) .vs. (12) The Juddanauts ($1.93)
It appears the bottom 8 is going to be as thrilling as the top 8. Can Darren take momentum all the way to the Grand Final?? Or will the early pace setting Juddanauts get there groove back??

(13) BullDogz ($1.37) .vs. (16) Crimson Sting ($3.14)
Both are 0-5 in the last 5 weeks, but Mike’s surely going to get through from a winless Sting.

(14) Cash For Clunkers ($1.64) .vs. (15) Bad Boys ($2.27)
This should be a test despite the slightly shorter odds, arguably the match of the bottom 8. Should we save trades or save them for the 2nd week??

Good luck to all this weekend with some very exciting results ahead.

Meet craigeyles

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

even though the boss got me by a bit over 100 i walk away with a bit of hope. with a bit of luck i will get Harbrow and Heath Shaw back into the defensive half this week.

I still have room to upgrade two elite mids and Rioli being suspended has ended my twoing and froing as to which forward line player to cash in on. the question is now, which mids do i go for??? the consistency of Boyd, the sheer numbers of Swan, the red-hot Selwood, the freak that is Gary Ablett or with the big game coming up and fresh off a break do i invest in Mr.September Jimmy Bartel?? Hard choices coming up…one’s that could make or break me…

I do not want to seem like I am up myself but I on purpose did not trade Goodwin (worse trade of the year) to save my four trades for the finals…

I would go Boyd or Swan
