Geelong v Carlton

Geelong smashed the sick Doggies by 101 points to bounce back to form after losing to the Magpies the week before.

Carlton also had a huge win in their demolition of Richmond by 89 points.

Brent Harvey plays his 300th game this weekend for the Kangaroos.

Brent Harvey plays his 300th game this weekend for the Kangaroos.

Geelong Ins: Corey, Blake, Taylor
Out: Jeremy Laidler, Taylor Hunt, Brad Ottens

No changes for Carlton

Who will win:

Geelong at their best look invincible but in recent outing the Blues have had the wood over them.

Overall at Etihad Stadium the Cats have a 5 win out of 7 game record there over Calton and should continue that record this weekend.

Geelong by 18 points

St Kilda v Richmond

The Saints now have two wins and are looking to finish the season strongly. Nick Riewoldt starred with 7 goals in their 52 point win over the Kangaroos.

Richmond had some inspiring wins mid season but are very much a work in progress after their 89 point loss to Carlton last weekend.

St Kilda Ins: Armitage, Pattison, Miles

Out: Robert Eddy (hand), Rhys Stanley, Lenny Hayes (back)

Richmond Ins: Nahas, Thursfield, Rance, Cotchin, Taylor

Out: Matt White (leg), Daniel Jackson (leg), Ben Nason, Andrew Browne, Robbie Hicks

Who will win:

St Kilda should easily win over Richmond with a strong finish to the season on the cards.

St Kilda by 42 points

Hawthorn v Fremantle

The Hawks had a grind out 21 point win over Melbourne to cement a spot in the finals and maybe keep Kennett quiet for one more week.

Fremantle had a heart stopping loss by 9 points at home to the Sydney Swans, and seem to be struggling with form and fit players as they head into finals football.

Hawthorn Ins: Rioli

Out: Rhan Hooper (soreness)

Fremantle Ins: Dodd, Murphy, Palmer, Hinkley, van Berlo, Pearce, Bollenhagen

Out: Matthew Pavlich (soreness), Adam McPhee (soreness), Roger Hayden (soreness), David Mundy (soreness), Stephen Hill (soreness), Anthony Morabito (soreness), Nathan Fyfe (soreness)

Who will win:

Fremantle have never won in Tasmania against the Hawks and with such a huge amount of players being rested/injured, it looks like Hawthorn should find the task of winning easy.

Hawthorn by 35 points

Collingwood v Adelaide

Collingwood reaffirmed their spot at the top of the ladder with a 98 point win over the Bombers last Friday night.

Adelaide were able to scrape through for a 7 point win away from home against Brisbane.

Collingwood Ins: Ball, Goldsack, Anthony
Out: Paul Medhurst
, Simon Prestigiacomo (corked thigh), Tarkyn Lockyer

Adelaide Ins: Jaensch, Walker, Young
Out: Nathan Bock, Chris Knights
(hamstring), Bernie Vince (knee)

Who will win:

Collingwood look too strong for Adelaide in every area and with a good record over Adelaide at the MCG should make easy work of the Crows.

Collingwood by 55 points

Sydney Swans v Western Bulldogs

The Swans had a brave battle against Fremantle to edge them out by 9 points but suffered injuries to key players as a result.

The Western Bulldogs really struggled to make up any ground against Geelong and the outcome was a huge 101 point loss.

Sydney Ins: Smith, Rohan
Out: Ben McGlynn
(cheekbone), Jarred Moore (concussion)

Western Bulldog Ins: Hahn, Cooney, Harbrow, Hudson, Grant
Out: Will Minson, Shaun Higgins (calf), Andrejs Everitt, Jordan Roughead, Easton Wood (hamstring)

Who will win:

The Bulldogs have a host of ins to return to strengthen their side and will be eyeing to consolidate a top four finish.

Sydney do have a strong home ground advantage but the Bulldogs should just edge them out.

Western Bulldogs by 12 points

Port Adelaide v Melbourne

Port Adelaide managed to kick a point in the dying seconds to win 61 to 60 over West Coast.

Melbourne had their chances but missed the boat on a top eight berth with a 21 point loss to Hawthorn last round.

Port Adelaide Ins: Nash, Pettigrew, D.Stewart, M.Motlop
Out: Tom Logan
(concussion)

Melbourne Ins: Moloney, Newton, Bate, Warnock, Morton
Out: Aaron Davey (leg), Joel Macdonald (ankle)

Who will win:

Melbourne definitely look the better team on form but have a poor record at AAMI stadium. Recent encounters also have the Demons with the edge but I just get the feeling the Power might sneak another win.

Port Adelaide by 3 points

Essendon v Brisbane

Essendon endured an annihilating 98 point loss at the hands of Collingwood, and now have two losses after a promising win over the Saints 3 weeks ago.

Brisbane lost a tight match at home to Adelaide after just getting over the line against West Coast the week before.

Essendon Ins: Quinn, Marigliani, Prismall, Myers, Jetta
Out: David Zaharakis (knee), Ricky Dyson (knee)

Brisbane Ins: Brown, Selwood, Sherman, Collier, Hawksley
Out: Matt Maguire (ankle), Albert Proud (illness)

Who will win:

Last time these two teams met all the way back in 2009 the result was a draw and I can’t see much separating them this time round.

Essendon are their own worst enemy with at one moment being able to challenge the best teams and the next doing their best impersonation of ‘Laydown Sally’.

Brisbane have a host of big name ins but their record at Etihad is horrible.

Essendon by 5 points

West Coast v North Melbourne

West Coast can’t take a trick at the moment with another heartbreaking loss this time going down by 1 point to Port in the dying seconds.

North Melbourne got pumped by 52 points against a much better team in the Saints, to make their chances of making the top eight near impossible.

West Coast Ins: Hurn, Hams, Houlihan, Masten, J.Jones, Stevenson
Outs: Adam Selwood
(shoulder), Tom Swift, Brad Sheppard (shoulder)

North Melbourne Ins: Jones, Hale, Campbell, White, MacMillan
Outs: Lindsay Thomas (knee), Todd Goldstein (calf)

Who will win:

North Melbourne do not have the most encouraging record at Subiaco against West Coast but will doing their utmost to give champion Brent Harvey a win in his 300th game.

West Coast have come so close in a few of their recent games but can they do just that little bit more to get themselves over the line?

North Melbourne by 9 points

Need a few upsets this weekend but I get the feeling I am clutching at straws with the Swans, Brisbane and West Coast winning.

Maybe the out of state team should sook like the Victorian clubs did a few years ago about the inbalance! Oh no hang on that wont work, it is still the VFL afterall :P
