Deano really needs a win right now after having a draw & 2 losses in his last three, but the Flamingos will be out to spoil the party.

The Flamingos should have no trouble replacing Shaw & Mundy into the 22 with the Power coming back from the bye.  Deano will be in the lap of the selection table with Adcock out, the midfield of Swan, Mundy & Selwood out with Selwood screwed & Didak out up forward.

Is it any wonder the bookies predict a close game??

Germinators ($1.26) .vs. The Shanks ($3.92)

On the ladder, this should be an easy win, but the Shanks have been more impressive of late.

The Bossman has a Pendlebury, Swan & Selwood problem so the Shanks will be hoping his midfield can score better & capitalise on the lack of quality in the Bossmans line up.

How many times have we seen the bottom sides knock off the top ones??

The GSP’s had a good win over us last week while the Stars have lept out to a 1 ½ game break in 7^th spot.

The GSP’s line up looks to have no issues, but the Stars could start one short up forward with the bye.

This could be another bookies close call despite the spots on the ladder.

Bomber Cyborgs ($1.55) .vs. CFCBack2Back ($2.48)
Line -65 ($1.91)

The Cyborgs can smell the top 8 if they win this game while the CFC’s need a win desperately being 2 ½ games out of the top 8.

Adcock, Swan & Didak can be covered for the Cyborgs while the CFC’s are at the mercy of the selectors in the midfield & up forward with Tippett a likely out.

Hoping the Cyborgs play as good as the Bombers of last week so we can stay in the top 8.

Jettstar Jadey ($1.69) .vs. Willys Allstars ($2.19)

This is the match of the round with the Jettstars back on the winning trail & the Allstars looking to prove they are top 4 material after their loss last week to the 9^th place Cyborgs.

But the Jettstars lose Shaw & Adcock in defence while Krakouer in the forward line leaves the selectors picking a fit full line up.  The Allstars have the same worries with the bye leaving out Swan & Krakouer.

Can the selectors swing the scales in someone’s direction??  The pressure will be right on from now until Sunday.

This one should be a ripper with the Greasys finding form & our boys playing Bruiser free footy last week after such a good start.

I see no flaws in the Greasys line up & we were forced to bench Tippett after having very little luck with weather & injury.

We have a slight average advantage & we never play 2 terrible games twice in a row, compared to other years.  Bring it on.

Maxwell was a bees fingernail away from losing his 1^st game to the Bossmans Germs while the catsman is on a tear after things looked grim for 2011.

Now the latest, at the time of writing, is Smith out in the ruck leaving Maxwell with 1 ruckman.  But, the catsman has a massive midfield & forward line problem with the bye, Selwood & Tippetts likely out.

Unfortunately, Maxwell should win this one.

Zeus ($1.52) .vs. Jobe Wan Kenobi FC ($2.54)
Line -93 ($1.91)

The stiletto stomper came back from a disastrous upset to give the Chewys their 1^st loss while the Kenobis leapt into the top 8.

The stilettoed one has cover for the bye & Adcock being out while the Kenobis forward line could be decided by the selectors with the bye & form issues.

The high heeled highness would love a top 4 spot, but hates the favourite tag.  This could be very interesting.

Judds Blues ($1.56) .vs. Doctors Orders ($2.44)
Line -111 ($1.91)

Between them is a 2-8 record from their last 5 combined.  The winless Doctors have their best chance to get off the wooden spoon position while a win to the Blues can have them in touch again with the top 8.

The Blues are down to 1 ruckman if Bellchambers doesn’t come in & the bye could leave them hanging if selection goes wrong.  There are no such issues for the Doc, but points are needed desperately because these chances don’t come too often.

Dr Dream Team ($1.92) .vs. Biggsys Bruisers ($1.89)
Line +11 ($1.91)

The Dream Boats got by us last week, but it came down to the last game with luck against us in important times.  The Bruisers can withstand match of the round status to knock them off.

The bye, injury & form leave all but the forward line vulnerable to selection pressures for McDreamy.  But, the Bruisers have the bye & Selwood out of the midfield along with Smith in the ruck.  Surely a trade will be made to sure up the troops.

We’ll be watching this one with interest.

Still Blue’n ($2.35) .vs. Germworks ($1.60)
Line -58 ($1.91)

6 of the top 8 play each other this weekend with the Bossmans version 2 in great form.  Can the Blue’ns hope that a win will give then a top 6 sniff??

Adcock can be covered for the Blue’ns, but Swan & Selwood out leave deep holes in the midfield.  But, the Bossman has 1 ruckman & a bye problem if Montagna doesn’t return.

The big games will shape the ladder, hopefully in our favour.
