I am at work at the moment and I have the answers at home so I will double check them later but of the ones you answered and I know:

    1) no
    2) Mick Nunun was the coach (along with Alan McConnell) and not the captain.
    3) Yes (Subiaco Football Club (1970-1974, 1977-1979, 1984-1988) = 197 games. Footscray (1975-1976) 42 games, 15 goals & Geelong Football Club (1979-1983) = 93 games, 79 goals) including the 1981 Geelong fairest & best – link for more info
    4) Yes correct
    5) Yes correct
    6)
    7) No not 6 goals.
8 ) Yes true, he coached North for a whole 13 games (even less than his career at St Kilda). Extra points for info on why he was sacked and what will he be the last off…
    9) YesCorrect, not brothers.
    10) Yes

So you got 6 right so far…

  3. Geoff Matheson Says:

Wow – totally read “coached” rather than “captained”. Ah well, better leave that for everyone else.

  6. Jermayn Says:

Sorry Craig, but these are incorrect.

    1) You have the right side of Australia though. He used to be a number one ticket holder (i think). Mark Edwards should know this one..

  7. Geoff Matheson Says:

As I said – I’ll leave the questions I have answered alone (though I can tell you the answers for number 1 and 2), but Blight was sacked after 6 consecutive losses, and might have been the last playing coach – but must certainly be the last person to play for a team the week after being sacked as coach.

  8. Jermayn Says:

@geoff – Thanks for that, if no one else has a go at the quiz in the next few days, go and try for the other questions.

and yes your right that Blight was indeed the last AFL playing coach which was what I was after but your also right in the fact that he would have been the last (if not the only) person to play for a team after being sacked.
