To be honest the umpiring was about the same level as normal. What gets me is that the rules change every week. One week, you touch someone after taking a mark and you get 50m. Then the next week, you dive on the ball and you get a free kick against you and then the next week they will allow some leaway!
Inconsistent...

Do not forget that the Eagles have played top 6 teams away (Collingwood, Bulldogs, Adelaide, Sydney) and with a young inexperienced side, you expect it but 100 points was not acceptable and Bombers will be a good test as you say.

<em>Jermayns last blog post..<a href="http://www.wotuthink.com/what-is-the-best-ever-aussie-flick">What is the best ever Aussie Flick?</a></em>

The eagles season was shattered when they lost to Sydney on saturday night...

however had the eagles won, and done so by less than 7 points, there would be some serious controversy as Brett Staker was awarded a goal that should have been a behind as his foot was over the line...so in that respect its just as well they lost...

The eagles are in danger of becoming a every second week team...play well at home, lose interstate...their big test will be to win next week against Essendon to prove they can win away from home...

and how about the umpiring? THEY ABSOLUTELY SUCKED! they are at the top level, and the quality of umpiring during the swans-eagles game was pitiful...disgraceful...they need to shape up, or the AFL needs to ship them OUT!

Without a doubt Geelong - GO CATS
Adelaide
Swans - this will be a good game as there is alot of Rivalry between these two teams
Hawthorn (thats my Dads pick)
Freo - Just cos i want to support the underdogs
Bulldogs
Carlton - They really believe that Judd can pull them out of this so anything could happen in this game - "what you believe you can achieve"
Collingwood

Geelong easy - Like I keep on saying North are not a real contender especially with Jones and Thompson out.

Tigers would be my smoky but Adelaide are just to solid and should win. However Crows looked average against West Coast and Essendon last week.

Swans are top four material and Eagles are bottom four material and should win. Expect a better game by the Eagles though. Good to see Butler back after 20 months out of the game.

Hawks easily. Hawks had a week to forget with Buddy trying out his 'Buddy Love' too much and Clarko showing his explosive best.

Lions is a team to watch while Fremantle are not. Lions win

St Kilda hide their problems by beating Melbourne easily but will be exposed by a defeat by the Bulldogs

Port at home, Carlton still have a bit to go before they are top 8 potential.

Collingwood are showing good form and could be a challenge for the top 4
