This year it looks like that the competition is not as even as the last few years. Injuries have that sort of effect on teams, if they are all fit, they would be pushing for a top four but now are trying to stay in touch with the eight.
No Lloyd and Lucas = no Essendon

Essendon v Western Bulldogs

Not many have tipped the Bulldogs to be 3 wins after 3 rounds and now they have a great chance to 4 and 0 after Essendon who has played good football has been hit hard with injuries.

Essendon are missing Jetta, Lucas and Lloyd will hurt the Dons as they now lack goal kickers and pace. I think the Bulldogs would have won anyway but these injuries should make sure the Bulldogs be 4 and 0.

North Melbourne v Melbourne

Kangaroos have been disappointing so far with bad fade outs against Essendon and Hawthorn last week and Melbourne? Well we wont go there….

This week could help inject which ever team wins. North want to play finals while Melbourne are rebuilding. North should win but Melbourne have a chance.

St Kilda v Geelong

Steven King will now play against his former side after missing out in the nab pre season. St Kilda were woeful last week and Geelong were fancy.

King now gets to play against Geelong

St Kilda are one team that could challenge Geelong but the Cats pacey midfield will run the Saints off their feet.

Sydney v West Coast

West Coast are injecting their fourth debut player and will be missing Embley, probably Cox, Fletcher, Priddis and Wirra and then you have Sydney who have no changes. Sydney are hot favourites as they should be as West Coast have been disappointing.

Port Adelaide v Brisbane

Can Port get their first win? This would be their best chance as Brisbane are also struggling even with arguable the best forward/ player in the competition. Brisbane in their two losses have started slowly so a good start is important.

Hawthorn v Adelaide

Adelaide were shaken about last week and have some players who would still be carrying the bruises over and that could severely effect them against a physical hard running Hawthorn team. Reports from the Hawks coach is that he wants Buddy Franklin to play consistent football  Heaven help the other teams if he ever plays four quarters of Football.

Carlton v Collingwood

Last week Essendon took great pleasure in making Carlton equal their worst loosing streak and now Collingwood would also take great pleasure in helping them break the record by Carlton.

Carlton look good in the midfield with Judd and co and Fev can kick enough goals but down back? Leakier than the Netherlands dyke’s. Collingwood are one of the most even sides in the competition and should win and congratulations to Burns who plays his 250th.

Fremantle v Richmond

After Richmonds first win in Round 1 we all thought they had turned a corner but maybe they have again fooled us. Fremantle should bounce back with another solid win after a slow first two weeks. Its amazing the difference some young pacey kids (and no Tarrent) makes.
