One time you do not mind but two weeks in a row is not acceptable. Two weeks in a row the AFL have had their pants pulled down by slack and poor time keeping. The problem has been highlighted by the two close games of Fremantle v Geelong and round 7 St Kilda v Richmond. I just have to wonder how many other games have had time missing?

Most of the time 10 – 15 seconds probably does not matter or would change the result of the game but these close games that we have seen in the last two weeks? Could the result have been different?
Fremantle had kicked the ball into their forward line and although Harry Taylor had marked the ball he still had nearly 10 seconds to decide what to do with it. Had the 10 to 14 missing seconds been included could Mathew Richardson or Nathan Brown had enough magic left in them to mark or snap a goal?
Yes if Mathew Palvich and Moores kicked had not moved at the last moment, they would have goaled and won and we would not have this discussion BUT they did hit the post and now we are.
What is the solution?
I have heard a few discussions that could help and maybe even solve the problem. Read them and then let me know what you think?
one) Have a set amount of time and do not have time on.
two) Instead of having the umpire signal to stop the play, let them stop when the umpire blows the whistle.
three) Use a computer!
