The season reports are in ladder position they finished so first up we had Melbourne Demons who finished 16th, then Richmond Tigers, Fremantle Dockers, North Melbourne, Sydney Swans, the West Coast Eagles, Port Adelaide and yesterday the Hawthorn Hawks, that finished 9th. Essendon Bombers finished 8th and now we present the Carlton Blues.

Had his best year along with fellow #1 draft picks in Murphy & Kreuzer.

The Year It Was
- Finished: 7th with 13 wins
- Kick2Kick Season Prediction: 5th – 7th
What Went Right
Like Essendon they played finals for the first time in a long time and the AFL was happy to see Collingwood, Essendon & Carlton in the finals together for the first time in ages.
Ryan Houlihan had his best year playing as an attacking half forward flanker, he usually matched up against the most attacking defender to make them accountable. Rookies Aaron Joseph played 22 games to become one of the best taggers in the comp and Jeff Garlett out played fancied high draft pick Yarren.
What Went Wrong
They way they exited the finals with a poor effort in the 4th quarter giving up a 30 point lead is moral sapping at best.
While financially off field it went good with Pratt pumping more money into the club but the playing list could not keep themselves out of trouble. Setanta O’hAilpin started it off with kicking and punching team mate Cameron Cloke and then Cloke not wanting to be outdone, slept in with Eddie Betts & Jeff Gartlett and turned up late for a recovery session. And Fevola the biggest clown of them all got out his sex toys for his annual Mad Monday!
Player(s) that Stepped Up
Fevola backed up his 99 goals in 2008 with winning the Coleman Medal with 80+ and Judd had outstanding years but the real improvement came from Gibbs, Kreuzer and Murphy who stepped up and can now claim to have one of the best midfields in the competition.
Trade Bait/ Goodbye’s
No one has been delisted or retired yet. Cameron Cloke apparently had a clause that if he played 10 or more games, he will get an extension. Interesting if he is retained and some others who may be used as trade bait or shipped off for Joseph & Garlett and their draft picks.
- Brad Fisher – Only played 7 games for 8 goals and is not consistent enough.
- Richard Hadley – Rumour he will be going back to Brisbane
- Setanta O’hAlipin – Showed something up forward but how many years before he shows the faith Carlton have placed in him.
- Nick Stevens – Talented but always over weight and an indifferent work effort.
Improvement Needed by
Andrew Walker, Jarrad Waite & Robbie Warnock only played 14 games between them but when playing they provide different options and variety for the team.
