First of all we wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year. We hope everyone gets what they want in their stockings and some time in our busy-ness, we remember some are less fortunate than us and the real reason why we celebrate this time.
Last year we created a Dear Santa Wish List and it generated some interest and in looking back at it, quite a lot of the wishes actually came true…
First lets look at the average Santa wish list and then we will fill in what every club will be wishing for including the new club who may well be called the Gold Coast Poachers.
Dear Santa,
I am the coach for ________ (team) and below is what I am wishing/ asking for Christmas for my ________ (team).
Apart from no injuries to my star/ irreplaceable players I would like to see for 2009 _________ (the following).I have tried to be a good coach this year, I have yelled less at the young men under me and I have tried to give everyone a game. I am desperate as a bad year could mean the end of my career.
Thank you,
Coach for _________ (team)

What is Santa Claus bringing to your club this year?
Adelaide Crows Christmas Wish List
…a few wins in the finals, for our finals phobia to go away, we have worked so hard yet always fall in the finals.
Brisbane Lions Christmas Wish List
…that my big gamble will pay off with our influx of senior recycled players and we will again play finals and that Fevola will find religion and never drink again.
Carlton Blues Christmas Wish List
…a clone machine so we can clone our saviour Chris Judd into two or three. This way we can have two in the midfield and one up forward to kick our goals.
Collingwood Magpies Christmas Wish List
…that I can get another premiership to get Nathan Buckley and my superiors off my back and while your at it Santa, can you make the Buckley ‘take over’ contract disappear?
Essendon Bombers Christmas Wish List
…some experience and I must thank you for Lloyd to finally get the point that I do not want him.
Fremantle Dockers Christmas Wish List
…some more good excuses so when we fail to the make the finals again, I have a way of keeping my job.
Geelong Cats Christmas Wish List
…Joel’s and Gary’s signature on a new contract.

Both Geelong & the Gold Coast will be asking for Garry Ablett signature this year from Santa
Gold Coast Christmas Wish List
…the ability to draw some guns this next off season to our club. Some suggestions Santa, one or two of someone like a Gary Ablett, Buddy Franklin and or Joel Selwood would be awesome.
We have Gary’s brother Nathan and that could be a nice home coming for the brothers. For Buddy we have the best casino’s and night life and for Joel, he will be closer to Troy..
Hawthorn Hawks Christmas Wish List
…injury luck with our big players, our game plan and that Jeff Kennett will loose his voice for 6-8 months.
Melbourne Demons Christmas Wish List
…to finish 15th or higher, we are not asking for too much are we? Also for Jim Stynes to get over his illness.
North Melbourne Kangaroos Christmas Wish List
…that our midfield and playing stocks will some way improve over night.
Port Adelaide Power Christmas Wish List
…some stability including in David Rodan’s knee.
Richmond Tigers Christmas Wish List
…a better year than 2009. We must have been super bad in 2008 for a year like 2009 to happen. We have tried harder this year so please can we wins some games this year?
St Kilda Saints Christmas Wish List
…one better than the ‘near perfect season’ we experienced this year.
Sydney Swans Christmas Wish List
…we don’t believe in you Santa, so we will mediate our needs instead..
West Coast Eagles Christmas Wish List
…injury luck to Kerr and Cox and we continue to improve with a return to finals.
Western Bulldogs Christmas Wish List
…a Grand Final after falling at the final hurdle twice in two years, oh and for Barry Hall, he has tried to be a good boy, truly he has…
Your Feedback, Comments and Well Wishes
Give us your feedback and if you disagree with your club or another, let us know what you think their Christmas Wish List would be instead. Please note that this is just some fun, a way to end the year of 2009.
Let me also say thank you for everyone who has helped this year with comments, articles, feedback etc. If you would like to help out with writing articles in the new year, please let us know as we are always on the look out for help.
Merry Christmas.

Compliments of the festive season, K2K.
Bombers’ wishlist MUST include getting some games into Scott Gumbleton and for Jay Neagle to realise what’s needed to be a fair dinkum senior player (faint signs in late 2009). It’ll also be pleasing NOT to see the shadows of two former greats struggling around for the Dons. Both Lloyd and Lucas were awesome at their best, but their best was long gone.

@AussieRules, you must be the only Bomber supporter I know who is 1) happy with Knights and 2) with Lucas and Lloyd retiring. I have to agree about Gumbleton, if you can keep him fit you guys will look that much dangerous up forward.
Thanks for your well wishes for the season as well.
