Geaghs – I think that is what the beauty is, yes you open yourself up for backlash if you loose to Essendon and Collingwood but does that not put the pressure on you guys and IF it works, the upside will be 10 fold.

Memberships is what keeps a club alive and while you will get the faithful who will always renew, what about the bandwagon jumpers or the kids who grow up looking for a club to support?

Yes I can see the downside but I think the upside far out weighs the negative.

As a Carlton fan, I am usually all for arrogance in our promotion (I loved our “They Know Where Coming” campaign) but I am little uncertain on this one. The slogan just doesn’t sit right with me, I am not sure what it is but when I here it I cringe.

And while I love the concept of “cooking” the bombers and magpies I think we are leaving ourselves way open to criticism by their fans for only signaling them out in the promotion (especially from bombers supporters seeing we can’t seem to beat them lately).

Maybe we need to put these posters up around the country and have specific ones for each location (Swans in Sydney, Lions in Brisbane, etc.). Now that would cause some controversy.

Surely Essendon and other clubs could come up with a slogan that does not involve potential lawsuits…

Ah, let’s hope our Bombers don’t do something similar. Don’t want any impending lawsuits from big US Corps, like the WWE in Carltons case, if they find out what the Blues did.
