Illegal tackle – Push in back

Apart from the head, the back is also protected and as you tackle you cannot move the tackled person forward. Any illegal tackle means that the person being tackled is entitled to a free kick.

What makes a Tackle a push in the back

  1. If the tackle brings the tackled person forward.

Extra tips

  • A tackler sometimes drops his knees to help the tacklers momentum push him in the back.
