NAB Pre Season Round One Tips pt1

Posted on 16 February 2012 by

It is super duper hard to tip in the NAB pre season competition especially with this pool round which IMO is a waste of time and a crap conception. What do you think of it? Anyway lets do the best we can and remember these squads will no doubt change several times between when released and they actually run out on the ground.

So are you excited with the year about to start? Or you a bit like me thinking that Wow its already football season and being still in a cricket mindset? If you have Foxtel you would be excited but for the rest of us (including me) it may be a case of “Oh was there football on?”.

Its time to see if these Greater Western Sydney boys will win a game

Regarding Players to Watch for Dreamteam

Yes we are back for another year of Dreamteam and our Kick2Kick leagues will be out soon for you to join in – in the squad lists underneath, we will bold the names I myself will be watching and feel free to add your own in the comments section below.

The Tips and Squads

Richmond, Hawthorn, North Melbourne
Etihad Stadium, Friday Feb 17, 6.45pm AEDT

Unless you support one of these teams, this will be a boring Friday night, curious the AFL could have not come up with a more exciting evening. Unless we see a miracle or Hawthorn gets major injuries to their key players it will be a cake walk for the Hawks who will go into the next round. Richmond and North Melbourne are widely tipped to be movers so this will be a mini test to see if it will happen or not.

Hawthorn: 2 wins
North Melbourne: 1 win
Richmond: 0 wins

Collingwood, GWS, Western Bulldogs
Blacktown Sportspark, Saturday February 18, 7.15pm AEDT

Believe it or not but Collingwood have to travel during a bye (well might as well be playing these two)… Interesting Sydney do not play GWS, maybe the AFL is hiding them from the embarrassment of loosing to the fledgling club like they did to Gold Coast last year. Bulldogs should get into the next round with a nice thumping.

Fremantle, West Coast, Essendon
Patersons Stadium, February Sunday 19, 4.45pm WST

The most interesting round of the week even with it being played in WA and only featuring one Victorian team. Fremantle and Essendon are another two teams who are likely to be fighting for the 5-8th spot amongst another 8 teams and early confidence is a key. West Coast are fielding properly the weakest side but I would not be surprised to see the wins shared amongst the 3 teams.

Fremantle: 1 win
West Coast: 1 win
Essendon: 1 win
