One last round of the NAB competition and two weeks until the real stuff starts with Cousins vs Judd (Richmond and Carlton) kicking off the season.

Collingwood is the one side who has troubled Geelong for the past two seasons. Will they again show up the Cats?

Up until the start of the season, Kick2Kick will have previewed every club of what our experts think their 2009 season will be like. Make sure you subscribe and do not miss out on our preview of your team.

Collingwood vs Geelong

While its only a pre season competition, Collingwood are taking it seriously. They have a near full strength squad (missing Rocca & Fraser) and they have hit the ground with force easily accounting their opponents. Geelong is the other team in this pre season competition and although they have rested players (Selwood, Mooney, Ablett etc) you can almost sense that they want revenge for their wasted year last year.

Collingwood is the one club to have successfully matched these Cats and I think again we will be in for a tightly close contest with enough flair to excit fans. While the Magpies have the game plan to defeat the Cats I think Geelong will run out winners and answer some questions that where raised at the end of the last year.

Regional Challenge Matches

Three regional grounds are being used this weekend which honestly surprises me. Bendigo, Casey Fields (which is were?) and Bunbury are the lucky places this weekend to host a game with Brisbane again being looked after by staying in Qld.

Hawthorn v West Coast Eagles at Visy Park

Hawks have included a host of Premiership players (Hodge, Buddy, Roughead etc) which should ensure an easy win against a side that wont be playing their best in Cox & Glass.

Hawks by 40 points

Port Adelaide v St Kilda at AAMI Stadium

Nick Reiwoldt makes his season return and I think this game could be an interesting to see the outcome as both are looking for a top 6 position.

Port Adelaide by 17 points

Essendon v North Melbourne at Bendigo

Should be a close game as both teams are fairly even. I think Essendons run however could be the difference.

Essendon by 10 points

Adelaide v Sydney Swans at AAMI Stadium

Van Berlo and other Adelaide youngsters are the future as they rebuild

Heard that Sydney are in to win this but I think at home and with getting a settled side Adelaide should win this fairly comfortable.

Adelaide by 28 points

Brisbane Lions v Richmond at Gold Coast Stadium

Which team will be playing this weekend? Depending on which team turn out to play will depend on who will win.

Brisbane by 18 points

Melbourne v Western Bulldogs at Casey Fields

Bulldogs have yet to win a pre season game and surely they should against a weak Melbourne side.

Bulldogs by 31 points

Fremantle v Carlton at Bunbury

Carlton are not happy having to play hear and while both teams will play a strong/ near strength side I think Fremantle will win.

Fremantle by 12 points
