Round 21 Dreamteam Update

Posted on 23 August 2010 by

Docker’s decision to leave players home is a good call. With reported flu outbreaks, plus the Saints & Cats did it last year, why the media attention?? Rodney Eade’s comment on the SCG surface was a very bad call. Sick of excuses & speak up on Etihad.

Here’s the top 10 for round 21
1. Nick Dal Santo (StK) 145 $393,900 -13.85%
2. Shaun Burgoyne (Haw) 143 $371,000 +17.93%
=3. Brendon Goddard (StK) 140 $461,600 +1.29%

Once again, Jonathan Brown mauls the Bombers to be one of the round 21 best.

Kick2Kick League Week 3 Finals Review
(1) Germinators 2,230 def (3) Benditos 2,019
The defence did enough to help the lack of stars in Germayn’s line up. Sandilands, Higgins & O’Keefe were out this week. Haven’t seen the incident, but Beau Waters could be an extra headache for Germayn if the MRP get invlolved. We hope to have the Benditos back in 2011.

(4) Bomber cyborgs 1.996 def (6) Nambucca Axemen 1.751
The outs & the injury to Cooney doesn’t reflect the true score line for the Cyborgs & “Pods” could be another headache come GF time.
Deano was in the same boat with the outs, but didn’t have the emergencies to cover the losses. Unfortunately, that’s the nature of this game. Question is what’s going to be the mystery answer with the “bye” coming in??

(9) Half Back Flanker 1.943 def (10) Mopar 1,545
Well, neither GF finished with the best 2 teams in their sections playing off. The Flankers presumably played with only one ruckman with Ryder pulling out late on Sunday. Fortunately, it’s only illness, but does the “flu” actually mean hamstring strain?? Cooney has the answer to that, but will it be honest.

Kick2Kick League GF Finals Preview

(4) Bomber cyborgs ($2.32) .vs. (1) Germinators ($1.62)
Naturally, the boss will start as the favourite despite the upset loss to the cyborgs in week 1 of the finals. It’s 1-1 for the season so can Sean pull off the double whammy & lay the boss’s season to waste??

(9) Half Back Flanker ($1.82) .vs. (11) Chardy’s Champs ($1.99)
This should be an interesting contest with both teams deserved top 8 teams, but without the wins. The round 7 match up ended in a draw so who has the psychological edge??

Good luck to all this weekend with some very exciting results ahead & watch for the round 22 Breakevens for the GF teams spread.

Meet craigeyles

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

Waters got off but now I have Sandilands probably not playing this week and Higgins and the jPod not playing this week with one trade left. What to do…..

  2. sean Says:

Yeah, i have suspension worries and who knows how may players will be given a rest this week, especially from the top clubs. May only have a skeleton team this week with only one trade left. I’ll have to be on my game to beat Germ this week.

  3. Deano Says:

disappointing end to a solid season. Learned a lot, but still think the actual game of DT needs refining. From memory the same issues arose last season, injuries, suspensions and the top teams resting players made the the last two finals an almost non event cos everyone had used up their trades. Perhaps they should think about finishing the season at round 20 and eliminating this farce.

As for my team I had to use up my trades to get as far as i did. 2 finals victories was a good result. Losing Hayes, O’Keefe, Sandilands and Higgins hurt…a lot. Not to mention the 5 or 6 bulldogs players i had scored about 50 between them!!! (well it felt like it anyway)…

Managed to make the GF of Supercoach with both trades and plenty of cash left so i should go ok. It helps when you have early season wins…no need to trade during the middle of the year.
