Gary Ablett Jnr is a chance to play this weekend. What are his Brownlow chances considering the last 2 seasons as favourite he finished 7th & 6th in the DreamTeam ratings? Is he a monty ala Norway in Eurovision??

I have Saint Nick Riewoldt in front after round 8. What do you guys think??

DreamTeam Wars Wrapup

We all had a win…oh, except for the Germinators (can hear Ariana in the background sniggering).

The Royal Knights only had 20 players on the field with Higgins, Houlihan & Jetta all  missing from the forward line but with good scores from Coughland (111), Bartel (136 – captain), Judd (130), Scarlett (110), Cox (129), Sandilands (108) Mackie (101) & O’Keefe (110) it covered the issue.

Nambucca Axemen is sitting nicely at 3rd with a round 8 score of 1783. What makes this even more amazing is that he had 10 players not playing in round 8! He had however 8 players scoring over 90. The 10 players missing is a worry though.

The Germinators only had 21 players including low scores (50 and less) from Yarren, Krakouer & Hill. He also went with Corey as captain which was the wrong choice with Pavlich (146), Cox (129) & Gilbee (106) all scoring better. Hence he got an average score off 1707.

The Dorkers is hitting some nice form including having Sherman (162), Palvich (146) and only having 3 players of his complete side not playing on the weekend. Most of his players also average in the mid 80′s which helps.

Diamond12 was the early favourite for the Wooden Spoon but with two wins is now looking stronger as weeks go by. It is a very young side but having Morton (128) & Gibbs (118) is paying off.

Great Izzacs is really struggling with only one win so far which was this week with a low score of 1,555. He had 5 players (Bolton, Johnstone, Jolly, Aker & Lynch) with scores over 90 and 16 players either not playing or with scores under 50. Too many passengers…

Next week we have 2 Derby’s with Ariana’s “Royal Knights” taking on Johnnytrent’s “Diamond12” & my “Great Izzacs” taking on Micheal’s “Dorkers”.

Meet craigeyles

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

Good wrapup Craig, lets hope both Higgins and Ablett are back this week as I definately need some improvement in my side. I still have 13 trades left but I want to keep them for a bit longer as we are not even half way through out the season.

My defense and ruck looks strong but my midfield and forward line still needs some work.

Im happy with Cox (worth the $$ imo), McIntosh, Rich & Pavlich at the moment but Masten, Dangerfield, Krakouer etc need to lift.

yeah forwards are my weakness at the moment-typical premaddonnas

    Jermayn Reply:

The one thing I have learned with my first year of Dream Team is that with the forwards your better of going for midfielders who are also listed as forwards. ie: Pavlich, Sidebottom, Higgins etc. They play midfield but also forward and kick goals.
