Quick Round 7 DreamTeam Notes:

- Ruckman Sandilands getting 139 along with C Morton 146
DREAMTEAM WARS
This round was highlighted by the “top of the table” clash between Ariana’s “Royal Knights” & the “Woftam Wasps” with Ariana going down by 135 points. After Tiger Alex Rance decided to go for the AFL’s version of Extreme Makeover & playing one short in the middle, may have cost her the points. Also, the late withdrawal of Bulldog Shaun Higgins would’ve had many Dream Teamers screaming in anguish. Rules need to be looked at on these withdrawals or it’s better to replace the devil you do know than the ones you don’t.
Jermayn’s “Germinators” remains one of three unbeaten teams & puts the wife back where she belongs beating “Leeming Lightning” by 111 points. Many horses at Warnambool moved better than Luke Hodge on Friday night, but after the Magpies had to “rob Peter to pay Paul”, Heath Shaw scored well moving forward. Looking steady with “Rising Star” Jack Ziebell & vote getter Joel Corey, but Marty Clarke faces an anxious wait on tripping & umpire touching probes from what I saw.
Deano’s “Nambucca Axemen” got a 112 point win over the winless “Carlisle Cobras” with a score I would’ve beaten (Damn!!). How arrogant to play with 3 short & now has Alex Rance on the sidelines with no back up in sight. Maybe he didn’t respect the lowly opponent. Let’s see if he does again while he’s got the easy part of the draw. Sam Fisher & Patrick Ryder got the “Steve Waugh” 99.
Michael’s “Dorkers” went down to “Frasers Flames” by 131 points & he’d have to be stiff after copping such a score against him in what was a mid-table clash. The forward line was the only real disappointment. If we had points for being a sooky la-la, I’d say he’d have “Fev” scoring 231 instead of 31. Crows players in his midfield also had bad games, but they had a lot of mates that day. Maybe we should also have points for bias radio calls after 5AA’s relay to Victoria.
Johnnytrent’s “Diamond 12” broke through for their 1st win of the season beating the “Waikiki Whackers”by 148 points by playing a 4 man forward line & some bloke named Cale Morton deciding to play. Yes, a Dees player with 146 points.
Me?? What hope did I have up against “Sheryl’s Saints”, belted by 555 points. I’m going to take some of the backline out for some team bonding this week. Reckon I’m pretty clever typing & grinding an axe at the same time. But, after injury ravaged my list again, we finally played with a full 22 for the 1st time this season.

For myself this week I got my highest score of 1900+. My biggest problem was who to choose as captain. I decided to go for Cox and he only got low 112. Should have chosen Corey.
Having Sidebottom & Yarren getting a game helped as it meant not only did I have a full 22 players, I also only had four ‘bench’ players not scoring (including Ablett) – My best so far.
I am not happy with Hodge & Brown who really are struggling, maybe its time to give up on Brown before I loose too much more money on him. Higgins did hurt but Walker got 115 & Yarren got 52 which helped cover him.
Gilbee 120, Corey 126, Gilbert 115, Cox 112, Riol 113 & Walker 115 helped cover Ablett.

there is a fine line between arrogance and genius and an even finer line between arrogance, genius and not having the internet at home therefore having to hastily put your team together on a tuesday night whilst at work.
will have to go with a couple short again this week as injuries have ravaged me and left me bereft of trade room. is it possible to tank in dream team?? i may be struggling by round 18 and be looking for better draft position. on a brighter note my SC team was ranked 2013th or something out of a possible 315,000 teams so was stoked with that. Poor games from the usually reliable Swan and Mitchell left me the few hundred short of the very top of the tree. must say i am enjoying the SC format better then the DT(any guesses why??)and am hopeful of some cold hard cash in the coming weeks.

Yes its amazing how a quite game or an injury can effect your score/ team.
I need to figuer out what I do with Hawks pair Hodge & Brown. Hodge is injured & Brown is playing useless. Looks likely I will have Hodge on the bench & bring Brown off and hope he can lift to cover Hodge otherwise I may have to trade one of them (leaning towards trading Brown).
