I think the debate of the week of whether Dean Cox is better then Brad Ottens has been placed on ice for a good month. And, with prices changing after round 3, would you “cheat” & get a spare e-mail address to enter another team if you can??

Personally, my team has improved this week to say the least, but I’m still a bit disappointed with some performances.

Brent Harvey has had nothing to celebrate after two quite games & the Dream Team coaches are not happy

Brent Harvey has had nothing to celebrate after two quite games & the Dream Team coaches are not happy

My ruck division is terrible & the sooner Tyrone Vickery gets a game, the better. I’m also concerned about a couple of midfielders that came with cheap price tags that haven’t lived up to their previous form. Oh, and of course, hands up if you’re annoyed with Kangaroo Brent Harvey? Is he done?

Bulldog Brad Johnson scored 118 for me this week showing the old timer still has some game time & talent inside of him. Not too bad for a player that was written off by “Supercoach” this season.

Saint Jason Gram had an arguable vote grabber on Friday night at Moron Park scoring 115. He scored consistently all night.

Swan Craig Bolton once again proved that David always slays Goliath with another outstanding performance on a top notch & taller forward. His 104 points came at the expense of Lance Franklin.

Before you all scream, here’s the OFFICIAL best 10 list so far:

  1. Bryce Gibbs (Carl) 262

Meet craigeyles

Born in Warragul, West Gippsland, Victoria. I’m married with 2 beautiful young girls & a cat (Hirdy). One is at school & the other has autism. I support Essendon but I’m not the one-eyed feral type. Played footy for 1 year in under 15s. Was roped in, actually, as my brother was in the team & they were short of players. Terrible team, mind you. Coach had his sons in the midlfield & they were dreadful. What I do?? Not a lot, unfortunately. Cutting a long story short, illness for 24 years this year (ended footy career) & Johnny’s “workplace” laws forced its hand even more. Love to work, but unfortunately part time is the go these days. Now, spend my time doing community radio sports show on Saturdays & wife suggested I build excel programs on sports leagues & other calculations. Enjoy my “twittering” that I recently discovered.

Mmmm my ruck division is doing good but I have Cox and Hille.
Apart from me having Yarren in my list who has yet to play and choosing Anthony (yet to play) along with Thomas & Shaw who have both missed games it is ok.

I have used two trades yet but they were necessary but unless one of my teams does a knee or something, think I will sit on my team for this week.

Happy with Skipworth, Masten, Cox, Ziebell, Higgins and sort of with Corey & Ablett.

Will say Craig that your list is a bit Victorian biased..

Having Ottens in my team smashed me this week, only 7 points, you would think that would have allowed Troy Simmonds to dominate the game but no my backup ruckman also failed giving my ruck combo the measly total of 60 odd points when last week it was closer to 200.

Key forwards have let me down so found it necessary to trade Hale for Houlihan and a bit of spare cash.

Very dissapointed in Harvey but he is a champion and will bounce back.

Blunder of the week: Traded S.Thompson(93 points) for Ablett (88) who cost me a lot more, also made Ablett captain at the expense of S.Fisher who scored 111. D’OH!! Hoping that the little champ will pay me back in the long run.

do any of you guys do supercoach as well??

  4. Jermayn Says:

Nah I do not play Supercoach, while it sounds more realistic with effective and ineffective disposals it also sounds more confusing and to be honest I do have limited amount of time with Kick2Kick, work x2 etc. This is my first year of Dream Team as well.

One thing Ive noticed is that its mainly the 2nd or 3rd tier midfielders that pick up the most votes. ie:
    - Gibbs with Judd getting most attention
    - Bartell/ Corey with Ablett

Interstate sides need to play a bit better. Apart from Jolly on Saturday night, nobody really stood up over the border. I think we’re in a cycle of players from non-Victorian clubs not stringing good games together.

yeah, Deano, play both DreamTeam & Supercoach. Ablett killing them in Supercoach compared to DreamTeam.

    What about??

    Kerr (28 possesions & 4 goals)
    Selwood (33 possesions)
Cox (average 99 in Dream Team)
Porplyzia (average ~90 in Dream Team)

Daniel Kerr averaging 68.5 (up thanks to whine over umpires)
    Porplyzia averaging 76
    Cox playing below his best
Selwood first game for the season & ranked =178th.

Darren Jolly ranked the No2 ruckman in the league.

I gave Gibbs 3 votes on Saturday. I reckon Dal Santo’s odds would’ve been shortened a bit.

Can I ask WTF is going on if you don’t have Dean Cox in your top 10 rucks?

    Has everyone gone completely mad?!?!?!?!

  11. craig eyles Says:

Cox not having a good year by DreamTeam standards. makes the 10 in Supercoach, but should’ve killed them on Sunday. Watch his price drop after this week.

  12. Jermayn Says:

So Craig is your list also determined by their price with their scores? I ask as at least 3/4 of the list of rucks do not have an average of 99 like Cox.
